Crafted Buddies was formed in August 2011 by the four friends Katarina Nilsson, Shumeng Ye, Josefin Bergman and Julia Schierbeck. The vision was to create sustainable products that represent an antipode to the fast-paced fashion that is dominating the market today. A product from Crafted Buddies would become a long-lasting cherished item, that you will be motivated to take great care of, just like a real buddy.

All of our products are hand made out of ecological Swedish leather and designed to carry your modern technical devices. This is how we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern lifestyle. All of our products are handmade after your order.

The name “Crafted Buddies” is intimately linked to our products. "Crafted" for the fact that every product is handmade, and "Buddies" for our belief that leather ages and matures like friendships do: over time, with affection and care. This is the story behind Crafted Buddies.

Crafted Buddies leather is supplied by a tannery in Uppland, midsweden called Tärnsjö Tannery. Tärnsjö Tannery uses hides from Scandinavian cattle and tan only with vegetable additives, such as bark from trees. Unlike other tanneries, which use chrome tanned leather, this leather contain no toxic or allergenic substances. All dyes are environmental and skin-friendly.

The tanning process takes approximately three weeks to complete. The results are a natural leather that breathes, ages beautifully and gives off the lovely smell of freshly made leather. Tärnsjö Tannery and their products are certified and tested by TÜV in Germany.

The leather is classified as WHITE LINE Leather, which means that the leather does not contain any hazardous substances and no chrome. It has been dermatologically tested, is skin-friendly and specifically designed for sensitive skin. The leather has no negative impact on the environment and are compostable.

All orders are shipped with Posten.

Since all products from Crafted Buddies are handmade after your order the delivery time can range between one and three weeks, depending on our production capacity. Although three weeks may sound like a long time, don't worry, it's well worth it.

You will receive a confirmation code by SMS or letter when your item has been shipped. You will need this code to recieve your item upon delivery.

If there are any damages to the goods upon delivery please contact us immediately via email (sayhello@craftedbuddies.com).

You are entitled to return your order within 14 days to receive a full refund. The item(s) must be returned unused and in mint condition. All tags and original packaging must be in tact.

The cost for the purchased item/items and shipping fee will be refunded, not the return shipping fee. The money transaction to your account will be made as soon as possible when we have received the returned products.

The cost of the purchased item(s) and the shipping fee will be refunded in full, excluding the return shipping fee. We will refund your account once we have received the returned item(s).

If you are unsatisfied with the product(s) you received please contact us by email (sayhello@craftedbuddies.com) for further instructions on how to file a complaint.

In the case of an accepted complaint, the original shipping fee will be refunded along with the price of the purchased item(s).

All payments are made through Paypal to make your payment safe and easy. You can pay with Visa or Mastercard. All our prices are in SEK and including VAT.

In the case that the purchaser is under 18 years old, Crafted Buddies will need parental permission to be obtained prior to purchase. Order made with another person's name without his consent, causing economical or other damage to Crafted Buddies will be police reported. Crafted Buddies disclaims for typographical errors, errors in information and errors in the specification. If the product no longer is available, Crafted Buddies will transfer all costs back to the customer as soon as possible. 

Your order is shipped by Posten and will be delivered to your local delivery point. Notification will be sent by letter or SMS to your cell phone when your package is ready to be collected. If you don’t collect your package within 14 days, the package will return back to Crafted Buddies.  At present, shipping is only available within Sweden. 

Delivery time is depending on our production capacity, you will receive your item within 1-3 weeks.

In addition to the cost of your product there will be a shipping fee of 49 SEK. This shipping applies regardless of the number items ordered. 


For items that are not collected, the package will be returned to Crafted Buddies. In this case, a fee of 350,- + VAT to cover Crafted Buddies costs of transportation and administration will be invoiced to the customer.

Crafted Buddies guarantees all products it manufactures and sells to be free from defects of workmanship and not natural scratches. We will replace for you any defective items you wish to return. All returns must be returned within 14 days and returned in original and unopened packaging. In the case of a return, contact Crafted Buddies (sayhello@craftedbuddies.com). The cost of returning an item will be paid by the customer.

When purchasing from our online shop you are covered by the Swedish distance law. This means that you as a customer has the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days after you received the goods. The product must be in as good condition as when you received it, that is unused and undamaged. Original packaging must be saved.
On your return or exchange of goods, you pay for the return shipping costs.

The colors of the goods are shown as accurately as possible but due to your computer and monitor settings, Crafted Buddies cannot guarantee that the colors shown on the website accurately reproduce the colours of the goods in reality.

The information you provide is used to fulfill you specific request. This information is only used to fulfill your specific request, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner, for example to add you to one of our mailing lists.
